Welcome to PAiMo! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of PAiMo's badminton club management platform and services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Please read these Terms carefully before using our platform. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing our website, or using any of our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

These Terms apply to all users of the service, including club administrators, members, and visitors.

2. Service Description

PAiMo provides a comprehensive badminton club management platform that includes:

• Event organization and management tools
• Member registration and profile management
• Public player profiles visible to other signed-in users
• Following other players, and follower and following lists
• Skill tracking and progress monitoring
• Payment processing for memberships and events
• Communication tools for club members
• Booking and scheduling features

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining account security
• You may not share your account credentials

Account Responsibilities

• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Update your information when it changes
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use our services to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Transmit harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Publish such content in a display name, biography, avatar or any other profile field
• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Use following, profiles or reporting to harass, stalk or evade a block
• Impersonate another person, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with the normal operation of our services
• Use automated tools to access our platform without permission
• Distribute spam or unsolicited communications

5. Public Profiles and Social Features

What Other Players Can See

PAiMo includes a player profile that other signed-in users may view. Depending on your settings, a profile can show your display name, avatar, biography, skill rating and win rate, club memberships and ranking, earned flair, recent match results, and upcoming events you have joined.

Profiles are visible only to signed-in users. They are not published to the open internet and are not indexed by search engines.

Your Visibility Controls

• You choose who may view your profile, and club members is the default rather than everyone
• You may separately hide your statistics, your match history, and your upcoming events
• Upcoming events are hidden by default, because they indicate where you plan to be and when
• You may change any of these settings at any time in the app

Biography and Avatar

• Your biography, display name and avatar are published to the players who can see your profile
• Do not include information you are unwilling to share, including contact details or your address
• These fields are subject to the community standards in the following section

Following

• You may follow other players, and other players may follow you, subject to your settings
• Follower and following counts and lists are visible in the same way as the rest of your profile
• You may unfollow at any time, and blocking removes any follow relationship in both directions
• Automated or bulk following is not permitted, and following may be rate limited

6. Community Standards and Content Moderation

Zero Tolerance

PAiMo has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. Content that is hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, or that promotes violence or self-harm is not permitted anywhere on the platform, including in display names, biographies, avatars, club and event details, and messages to other users.

Reporting and Blocking

• You can report a player or a piece of content from within the app
• You can block a player, which hides you from each other and removes any follow relationship
• We review reports and act on them within 24 hours
• Reports may be made in good faith only; deliberately false reports are themselves a violation

What We May Do

Where content or conduct breaches these standards, we may remove the content, clear a biography or avatar, hide a profile from other users, suspend an account, or terminate it. We may act without prior notice where we consider it necessary to protect other users.

7. Payment Terms

Subscription Fees

• Subscription fees are billed in advance
• All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated
• We may change our pricing with 30 days notice
• Failed payments may result in service suspension

Event Payments

• Event fees are processed through our secure payment system
• Refund policies are set by individual clubs
• We may charge processing fees for payment services

8. Intellectual Property

Our Rights

PAiMo and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by PAiMo and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

User Content

• You retain ownership of content you upload to our platform
• You grant us a license to use your content to provide our services
• That license includes displaying your profile content — display name, avatar and biography — to the other users your visibility settings allow
• You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to uploaded content
• We may remove content that violates these Terms

9. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services. By using PAiMo, you agree to our Privacy Policy.

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information, but we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.

10. Service Availability

• We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime for our services
• Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance
• We are not liable for downtime due to circumstances beyond our control
• We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice

11. Termination

By You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting our support team or using the account deletion feature in your settings.

By Us

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

Effect of Termination

• Your access to our services will cease immediately
• We may delete your account and associated data
• Provisions of these Terms that should survive will remain in effect

12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PAiMo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where PAiMo is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through our platform. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
